Silver Summit 25' Results
On March 21-23, twelve teams converged at the Rockville Ice Arena to compete in the 2025 Senior Silver Summit in Rockville, Maryland. Teams were composed of players from VA, MD, NJ, PA, TX, CO, AZ, MN, NC. The final standings are shown in the below chart.

All 4 Championship series were nail-biters. The Platinum Division showcased some top 50+ talent in a back and forth scoring battle with the Yanks (returning Champs under a new name) in the lead going into the 2nd. But a strong 3-goal 2nd period for the Englewood Jacks Platinum (returning runner-up team) proved too much for the Yanks to overcome in the 3rd resulting in Englewood Jack being crowned the new Platinum Champs winning 4-2 (includes an empty net)

The Gold Division also featured plenty of action and volleying of leads as the Englewood Jacks Gold battled the Baltimore Clippers. Tied at the end of 1, the Jacks shutout the Clippers in the 2nd, giving them the edge going into the 3rd - a lead that the Clippers were not able to overcome - and leading to the Englewood Jacks Gold achieving victory and the repeat Champs.

The Silver Division was another back and forth affair between returning 2024 Champions Virginia Buccaneers and 2024 runner-up Discount Maroons. Regulation play not enough to claim a victor. After an additional 2 intense overtime periods, a winner could still not be declared. It came down to a best of 3 shootout. With 5 shots complete, the Maroons had the 6th and final shot of the best of 3 shootout. That shot proved to be the winning goal. The Discount Maroons claimed victory and blocked the Bucs opportunity to be repeat Champs.
The Bronze Division featured last year's runner up Limp Sticks (under a new name) playing a tight game against the Whalers. 2 goals in the 2nd period proved to be the difference with no goals in the 3rd despite the Limp Sticks pulling their goalie in hopes of finding the back of the Whalers net. This contest went down to the wire with Limp pouring all it had to get the tie goal, but they came up just short. Whalers are the 25' Bronze Champions and Limp Stick repeat as runner-up.

C-Challenge 2024 Results
9 teams competed in 2 Tiers. All teams won or tied at least 1 game with 8 games within 1 goal or tied and several within 2 goals.

In Tier 2, the Old Towne Tobacconists returned to the championship to defend their 2023 title against the Richmond PID Crush. It required overtime to settle, but in the end Crush were able to close the deal to become the 2024 Tier 2 Champions. TLC was a formidable opponent posting a goal diff of only -2 across 4 games and losing no games by more than 1. The Ironclads made their opponents earn victories with 2 of their 4 games within 1 goal and a tie in one other. The Continentals also had a solid performance with a win and a tie in two competitive games.

In Tier 1, despite starting off strong by defeating the RiverHawks in game 1, Mid-Ice Crisis came up just short of advancing after a close battle with Hitmen, and a tie against the experienced Toronto Peeps knocking Mid-Ice out of the championship. The Hitmen made RiverHawks earn it, but in the end the RiverHawks prevailed as the 2024 Tier 1 Champions. Congrats RiverHawks!

Frozen Biscuit 2024: Summer 3o3 Results
The June 15 3o3 hockey tourney was a solid day of off-ice and on-ice skills and endurance. The off-ice skills competition - featuring target shooting and sauce toss - had close matchups. In the end Zero Pucks Given won the Tier I and Slappy Seconds won Tier 2. Each team was awarded with gift options including Play It Again Gift certificates.
On the ice, the lower Tier saw the Hitmen starting strong but facing some stiff competition and close games in the later games of the tourney against Slappy Seconds and Benchwarmers. Slappy Seconds made it a challenge in the playoff round, but they came up just short in the elimination game against the Benchwarmers. While Hitmen were still favored going into the championship game, the opposing 'Benchwarmers' decided not to live up to their team name, The Benchwarmers pushed the championship game to a tie-break and ultimately beat the odds favored Hitmen in best of 3 shootout.

In the upper Tier, the River hawks appeared unstoppable in the early stages but the evenly matched Muckups and Zero Pucks Given kept the games close or tied in the later stages. But in the end the Riverhawks proved too much and outlasted Zero Pucks Given in a very close championship game.

2024 Frozen Biscuit B-Div Champions
Competitively balanced teams resulted in close games including several one goal games and an OT in the playoffs. There were no clear favorite or underdog teams leading into the playoffs. The championship was up for grabs, but in the end The Frozen Stillers outlasted the runner-up Marauders (team pic below), and closely matched River Hawks and Floating Pylons. The Floating Pylons were undefeated going into the playoffs.

ADULT WINTER 303 JAMBOREE

The Jan 6th 303 Jamboree featured 9 teams across 3 Tiers. Close competition including a dozen games within 2 goals, 3 playoff overtime games, and a lobby filled with players competing in off-ice games.
Jamboree Teams: Riverhawks I and II, Iceholes, Lunk Alarm, Odd Squad, Slappy Seconds, Zambombers, RTB, CTB.

Tier 3: Slappy Seconds vs Iceholes playoff ends in a tie requiring a shootout to declare Slappy Seconds the victors advancing them to the championship game. Odd Squad vs RTB was also a close one, with Odd Squad sqeaking out a 3-2 victory and advancing the the championship game. Slappy Seconds defeated Odd Squad to win the 2024 Tier 3 championship

Tier 2: CTB faced Zambombers in the playoff round. An overtime was required to declare a victor. CTB was able to edge out the Zambombers in the shootout and advance to the championship where Riverhawks II awaited the winner. Riverhawks II defeated CTB in a close championship game.

FALL 3O3 JAMBOREE INVITATIONAL
A perfect 65 deg sunny day was filled with both off and on-ice activity on Sept 18 at the Chilled Ponds Yorktown Rink. Teams starting early afternoon competing in corn hole, sharp shooter, and distance shooting competitions. Their off-ice points carried over indoors as they starting competing in non-stop on-ice 3on3 action. Ice Holes, Old Puckers, Slappy Seconds, RTB, and Pucktards competed for Tiering placement in the playoffs. Some close games and overtimes resulted in the newest Frozen Biscuit Champions as follows:

Summer 2023 C-CHALLENGE
TIER II: RVA Mayhem score goal in last few minutes to break tie with Hitmen and Iceholes to advance to finals. Old Town defeats Mayhem in Overtime to win championship.
TIER I: The Lucky Puckers - underdogs to make the finals - were able to quiet the doubters and advance to the Championship in which their luck ran out. The Riverhawks outlasted the Puckers and crowned Champions.
Summer 2023 - 3O3 JAMBOREE RECAP
The first Frozen Biscuit 3O3 tourney took place on Saturday Aug 12. Ten teams converged on the Chilled Ponds Chesapeake ice to compete in the wide-open, high shot volume, 3 on 3 event. There were 22 games of which almost all were within a 2 goals differential.
Competing Teams: Busch Lattes, Rampage, Hitmen, 3Sums, Space Cadets, No Shows, Hatrick Swaze, Cluster Pucks, 3 Amigos, Slack Shots.
Teams were assigned into 2 divisions to compete in playoffs.
Premier Divisions: Busch Lattes, Hatrick Swaze, Cluster Pucks, Space Cadets, Slack Shots
Elite Division: Rampage, No Shows, 3 Amigos, 3Sums, HItmen

Premium Division Championship: RIverhawks vs. Baby Blue Beauts
The Premier Division Championship between the Baby Blue Beauts and Riverhawks was one of the closest and most exciting Championships in recent history. The game ended in a 5 to 5 tie in regulation. The 3 on 3 overtime was not enough to produce the winner. The shootout came down to the last shot of the best of 3 shootout - resulting in RIverhawks victory. Congratulations to the 2023 Champions - RIVERHAWKS! ....and to an outstanding effort by the Baby Blue Beauts. What a game......
Elite Division Championship: Division: Microdekes vs. Puck Ups
Each team battled hard in this very even matchup. Strong goaltending and Defense kept the score low. Another very close game in which the winner was not certain until the game concluded. In the end, Puck Ups edged out the Microdekes in a 2-0 victory which included an empty netter. Congratulations to Puck Ups for a well-deserved victory and a big shout out to Microdekes for making this a battle for the ages.
