Biscuit Bash ‘26 Highlights

18 teams consisting of players from a wide geographic footprint (e.g. MA, PA, DC, VA, MD, NY, NC, DE and others) converged on the Chilled Ponds Sport Complex in Chesapeake on Aug 21-23 for competitive hockey, tailgating, and local fun. The tourney was comprised of a wide range of skills included in the Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, and Copper division.

The finals featured very tight games including 2 overtimes in our Platinum and Silver Divisions. The Platinum division winner came down to the final shootout shot in OT and resulted in the defending champion Tip-Ins losing their crown to Radicals in a spectacular showdown. In the Gold division, returning champions Puck Ups retain their status of Gold Champions defending their title against the persistent Riverhawks who did not make it an easy path. Our Silver division saw defending champs Strangeways edge out the Ironclads in an Overtime battle to retain their title as Silver Champions. The Bronze division was also a very close match featuring a Spartans and Pylons back and forth game that could have gone either way. Nothing was certain until the game was in its last minutes, but in the end the Spartans proved victorious. Our new Copper division title was awarded to Iceholes. The Iceholes moved into the Copper from last year’s Bronze division. Other teams in the Copper division kept the games respectable against a more experienced Iceholes team. The pesky Chilly Gooses stood their ground during the championship, making the Iceholes earn a 2-0 win. We expect the Copper division to grow over the next several tournies and plan to make improvements toward an even tighter balance.
